Sheet Metal Roofing Installation in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and North Carolina

Beautiful, lasting roofing installed by professional roofers

Sheet metal roofs have several distinct advantages over other roofing materials.  They are beautiful to look at, often oxidizing to an attractive matte patina.  They are resistant to mold and  mildew that other mediums are sometimes prone to collecting in shady conditions and are significantly lighter than many other common roofing materials.

Metal roofing is also useful for roofs with minimal roof pitches. They are non combustible earning a Class A fire rating.   When installed by professionals, metallic roofs can last as long as the structure they cover providing decades of excellent protection.

Sheet Metal Roofing Materials and Roofing Systems

There are several possibilities in terms of sheet metal material.  Burns Scalo routinely installs roofs made out of copper, steel, stainless steel, aluminum and zinc.  Each of these metals have properties that make one preferable to another depending on circumstances, but one thing all of these roofing materials have in common is longevity and hardiness.

There are  several different installation techniques for sheet metal roofs.  The standing seam type of installation involves turning up the edges of adjacent metal panels, folding them over and interlocking them in a variety of ways depending on the material and type of sheet metal.  Flat lock involves folding over the edge of one panel and folding another panel under, hooking them together.

In addition to roofing, Burns Scalo also offers eleven types of insulated and non-insulated vertical sheet metal wall and siding panels, and we do our own on-site forming of metal roof panels and seamless gutters to ensure a perfect fit every time.  We also operate a full-time metal shop facility and our highly skilled technicians manufacture the highest quality roofing materials.
