There are several types of membrane roofing systems that have been around for over 40 years.
The correct installation will depend on a variety of conditions including local climate. Dark surfaces are normally found in colder geographic climates, while reflective white is more typically found in the southern geographic regions.
TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) and PVC (polyvinyl chloride) membranes are also recommended depending on location. See Roofing for additional information.
