- Light sensors have been placed in infrequently used areas to conserve energy
- Recycle paper in special recycle bins
- Recycle old stationery into note pads
- Encourage email correspondence vs paper copy
- Regulate HVAC system temperatures
- Use a water purification system vs bottled water
- Recycle aluminum and plastics
- Switch to environmentally friendly paper products
- Turn off office lights and computers when not in use
- Switch to lower wattage fluorescent lighting
- Save digital copies vs paper copies
- Run black & white copies instead of color copies
- Print two-sided vs one-sided copies
- Purchase more environmentally friendly products inlcuding cleaning supplies and paper products
- Promote "green" throughout our office environment
Products and Services
Burns & Scalo is partnering with manufacturing suppliers and vendors who wish to achieve the same "green" initiatives as we do. We seek and will continue to seek green building materials and applications that serve to conserve our resources through innovation and design resulting in energy efficiencies, and the use of environmentally friendly building products.
